South Wales Central MS Andrew RT Davies has raised concerns with Post Office bosses over the temporary closure of the Rhoose branch.

The closure means residents no longer have access to a post office in the village, with the nearest branch located in St Athan.

The closure is the result of staffing issues. Post Office bosses have confirmed they are looking for temporary staff to allow them to restore the service.

Mr Davies has suggested any residents who may be able to help should contact him, so he can pass their details on to the Post Office.

Andrew RT Davies said, “Post offices provide vital services in our communities. And the people of Rhoose are feeling the impacts of the branch closure.

“It’s vital the service is restored as soon as possible, and I’ve raised concerns with Post Office bosses.

“They’ve confirmed they’re looking for temporary staff. So if this is something you’d be interested in, please get in touch.”
