South Wales Central MS and former Welsh Conservative Senedd Leader Andrew RT Davies has slammed Eluned Morgan’s comments about Keir Starmer’s migration plans, warning they expose a dangerously out-of-touch approach from Welsh Labour and Plaid Cymru alike.

Speaking to a BBC podcast, the First Minister said she is worried the policy will “damage Wales” was concerned about the language he used to announce it.

Mr Davies said:

“The calls from Eluned Morgan and Plaid Cymru separatists for more liberal migration rules show just how out of step both are from the people of Wales.

“The issue with Keir Starmer’s policy isn’t that it’s too tough—it’s that it doesn’t go nearly far enough.

“Instead of importing cheap labour, we should be training doctors and nurses here in Wales and paying care workers properly.”
