South Wales Central MS and Former Welsh Conservative Senedd Leader Andrew RT Davies has slammed shocking revelations that criminal behaviour by staff was tolerated at University Hospital of Wales, including theft and drug use.

The report also exposed incidents of pigeons entering trauma theatres and widespread failure to follow procedure, damning evidence of systemic failure under the watch of Labour Senedd Ministers.

Mr Davies said the people of Wales deserve far better from a healthcare system that has been mismanaged for decades, with Plaid Cymru propping up Labour’s failing approach for much of that time.

Mr Davies said:

“This is a damning indictment of Labour Senedd ministers’ record running Welsh hospitals, during a time in which Plaid Cymru separatists propped them up.

“Criminality and chaos have been tolerated on their watch.

“While Labour and Plaid wasted time and resources putting 36 more politicians in the Senedd, they ignored our Welsh NHS.”
