South Wales Central Conservative MS Andrew RT Davies has condemned comments from Plaid Cymru separatist Senedd candidate Sarah Rees that discriminate against white people.
Posting on X, Ms Rees stated “3 things that half the population of Cymru learned from @WalesPolitics despite 2026, it’s still: Stale Male Pale.”
The term is widely considered to be a derogatory phrase describing older, white men.
Mr Davies said it was “inconceivable” Ms Rees would have referred to any other ethnic group in the same way.
Ms Rees, who is also Head of Oxfam Cymru, is standing for Plaid Cymru separatists in the Bridgend and Vale of Glamorgan constituency.
Mr Davies said:
“These disgraceful comments show the true face of Plaid Cymru separatists.
“It’s inconceivable Plaid would have spoken about any other ethnic group in this way, but white men seem to be fair game.
“Anti-white discrimination is completely unacceptable and I make no apologies for calling it out.”
