An 80 year old in his final hours wet from the dripping ceiling of a pigeon infested tunnel.
Senedd ministers must take responsibility for years of neglect.
I raised this appalling case with the Health Minister Jeremy Miles this week.
His response? An admission that “capital funding (into hospitals) has been very, very, very constrained for a very long time”.
The minister emphasised that he “did not wish to make a party political point”.
I bet he doesn’t.
The appalling state of our hospitals is the result of Plaid and Labour’s warped priorities.
Senedd ministers are right to say hospitals are underfunded.
But that makes their own spending decisions all the more disgraceful.
All this cost hundreds of millions of pounds.
Every week, the public tell me they want to scrap the Senedd waste.
You are, of course correct.
Most in Cardiff Bay don’t get it.
You couldn’t get more out of touch.
Not only will more powers for the Senedd lead to worse public services.
It will also lead to the break up of Britain.
The separatists have a salami slice strategy to deliver Welsh independence, by making the Senedd bigger and more powerful.
Senedd minister Julie James recently admitted, “the more laws we make in this place the more separate they become from England”.
These people don’t care if it leads to worse living standards. It doesn’t matter to them.
But it does to me. No more powers for the Senedd. Fund our NHS. Stop the waste.
Those are my priorities. And I make no apologies for saying so.
