South Wales Central Conservative MS Andrew RT Davies has said the prime minister must ignore Labour Senedd members’ calls for more powers to be devolved.

In a letter to Keir Starmer, the politicians raised concerns about “the failure to move forward with agreed steps to devolve further functions”, citing policing, criminal justice, rail infrastructure and the Crown Estate.

Mr Davies said:

“Giving the Senedd more powers will lead to more division and separation from the rest of Britain.

“It’s part of the separatists’ salami slice strategy to break up our nation.

“No further powers should be devolved.”
