Commenting on damning concerns raised by senior consultants at University Hospital of Wales, South Wales Central Conservative MS Andrew RT Davies said the situation “demonstrated Senedd ministers’ failure running our NHS”.
The hospital’s most senior staff took the unusual step of writing to the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board chair to express concerns about the way it is being run.
Mr Davies said:
“It’s extraordinary senior doctors felt the need to raise concerns about the Heath Hospital in this way.
“Senedd ministers been in charge of health in Wales for the past 26 years, and this is a damning indictment of their record.
“While Plaid and Labour’s plans for 36 more Senedd members took priority, our NHS was ignored.”
