South Wales Central MS has demanded action to tackle the threat of violent crime in the Vale of Glamorgan, following a suspected murder in Barry.

38-year old Kamran Aman died after officers were called to reports of a stabbing on Barry Road.

Two individuals have been arrested and remain in custody.

Mr Davies said:

“It’s deeply shocking to see a suspected murder incident take place in Barry, and I’m grateful to police and emergency services for their response to the incident.

“While we must give them space to carry out their investigations and ensure justice is delivered in this case, robust action is required more generally to tackle the threat of violent crime in our communities.

“We must make our streets safe.”
