South Wales Central MS Andrew RT Davies has called on Labour Senedd ministers to intervene, after Wales’ largest hospital asked the public to consider not using A&E services due to high numbers of patients.
University Hospital of Wales has asked the public to only attend A&E if it is an emergency.
Mr Davies said:
“This is the latest worrying incident to occur at UHW, following a damning report that found illegal drug use, theft and pigeons flying around operating theatres.
“This has happened on Labour Senedd ministers’ watch – they’ve run our NHS in Wales since devolution was established 26 years ago.
“My constituents in the Vale of Glamorgan and Cardiff rely on services at UHW, and Senedd ministers must intervene to get a grip of the situation.”
